I love working with students to help them improve their math skills. Even if they think math is impossible, I know that they can get better. I like to listen to each student's concerns and beliefs before getting started with our tutoring sessions. This helps us have the most success during our time together.I like to help my students feel more comfortable with arithmetic. I think this is the most important start to all aspects of math. I have served as a teacher for 6 years, so I know and understand that each child learns differently and has unique needs. As for my educational background, I have an undergraduate degree and also a MEd in teaching and learning. I have worked as a high school teacher as well as a substitute teacher during my career. I now live in the New York area so that I can also pursue acting. I have had the chance to take part in some area performances since living here. I love music, theater, and sports. In addition to teaching and tutoring, I have also been a soccer and basketball coach. No matter what your challenges are, I'm here to help you learn more and reach your goals.
